NETSCAPE SET-up Instructions

  1. Double Click on My Computer
  2. Double Click on Dial-Up Networking
  3. Double Click on Make New Connection
  4. Enter "Cibola Internet Services" for the name
  5. Click next
  6. Enter Area Code "505" and Telephone "285-5988"
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Now Right Click on the Cibola Internet Services connection you just created
  9. Click properties
  10. Click on the Server Type Tab,
  11. Select Enable Software compression
  12. Select TCPIP
  13. Unselect everything else
  14. Click OK
  15. Close down open windows
  16. Click on Start - Programs - Netscape Navigator - User Profile Manager
  17. Select New
  18. Creating a new Profile - Next
  19. Enter: Full Name
  20. E-mail address:  <user name>@7cities.net    NEXT
  21. Leave Profile Name as is NEXT
  22. Outgoing mail  (SMTP) server:  mail.7cities.net
  23. Mail server user name:   <user name>
  24. Incoming Mail server:  mail.7cities.net
  25. Mail Server type:  Ensure POP3 is checked
  26. News (NNTP) server: news.7cities.net   FINISH
  27. Open Communicator
  28. Once open click on  Edit then Preferences
  29. From Category Menu
  30. Change home page to www.7cities.net
  31. Click on plus sign in front of Advanced
  32. Click on Proxies
  33. Select Manual Proxy configuration
  34. Click on View
  35. On HTTP, FTP and GOPHER lines enter
  36. ADDRESS: cache.7cities.net
  37. PORT: 3128
  38. OK
